That Quiet, Just-You Kind of Afternoon

There are two kinds of afternoons.
Last week we talked about the first — finding someone, sitting down, talking.
This week is the second. Alone, quiet, just this.
The picture in our heads looked like this.
Walking through a gallery, no destination, no need for one. Looking at something, or nothing in particular. The space is quiet — not empty, but the kind of quiet that lets you stay inside your own head for a while.
The Gallery was made for that afternoon.
This scent doesn't announce itself.
Oolong tea sits at the base — steady, not heavy. Sage gives the air a faint cool herbal quality. Cedarwood is the deepest layer, giving the whole thing a quiet weight.
The first time we got the blend right, the feeling was light, soft — it doesn't come at you. It fills the room slowly, without asking for attention. You might not be able to say exactly what you're smelling. But the room is already different.
This kind of scent is for being alone.

One isn't better than the other. Sometimes you need someone there. Sometimes you need to be by yourself. Nothing is fixed, and nothing has to be the same every time.
